We are hiring a Head Brewer! – Knotted Root Brewing Company (Nederland, Colorado)
Knotted Root Brewing Company is looking for a Head Brewer to join our team and take ownership of full-time production on our 10 BBL steam-powered brewhouse in the mountain town of Nederland, Colorado.
We’re looking for someone who can step in immediately and confidently manage every aspect of brewery production—from grain to glass. This position is ideal for an experienced brewer who thrives in a hands-on environment, takes pride in quality and organization, and wants the opportunity to help shape the next chapter of an established and respected brewery.
Compensation
$52,000 starting salary

What We’re Looking For
Minimum 4 years of professional production brewing experience
Lead packaging experience
Inventory management and raw material purchasing
Strong computer and organizational skills
Brewhouse operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting
Detailed and diligent record keeping
Yeast management and microscope work
Cellar and cold room organization
Strong communication and team leadership skills
Ability to manage all aspects of production with accountability and attention to detail
The Role
You’ll oversee brewing, cellar operations (CIP/SIP), maintain proper sanitation practices, manage packaging (average 150 cases per wk on CODI counter pressure line), up-to-date inventory, quality control/ sensory, equipment maintenance, and work with management on production planning. We’re looking for someone who can work independently, communicate effectively with ownership and staff, and help maintain the high standards that Knotted Root has built its reputation on.
